The 5th annual "Patrick McFarland English Horn Master Class"

is scheduled for this May 18, 19, 20, 2009

at the beautiful and historic Chautauqua Institution in western New York State.

Pat, Solo English Horn of Atlanta Symphony, will be joined by master teachers:

Tim Clinch - Assistant Professor of Oboe Performance at Ball State University

Jan Eberle - Associate Professor of Oboe at Michigan State University

Merrill Greenberg - Solo English Horn of the Israel Philharmonic

 Louis Rosenblatt - former Solo English Horn of the Philadelphia Orchestra

John Symer - Master Repairman

** MASTER TEACHERS' SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE **

A formal afternoon recital and private gathering, along with lectures

and coaching of pre-assigned English Horn repertoire is planned.

On-campus housing and food service is available.

Treat yourself to this musical retreat where it's easy to feel relaxed

among mentors, colleagues, and friends

while at the same time gaining more knowledge of this lovely instrument!

$100 for one day / $150 for both days / same fee for participants and auditors

EHMC fee is totally refundable up until 30 days prior to the program

room and meals NOT included in EHMC registration fee

Here is the basic plan for the 3 day event:

May 18 - afternoon recital by master teachers / dinner / evening EHMC session

May 19 - morning and afternoon EHMC session / private EHMC dinner party

May 20 - morning and afternoon EHMC session
